Follow the river and you will find the sea

Anticipation is building for our Newfoundland adventure.  It is almost all I can think about.  But, first, we have a very busy spring before we go.  Tom will retire after 31years at Kent Statue University.  So, there is all the anxiety and happy anticipation that accompanies that huge life transition.  Ellen and Colleen will be married in April and  the wedding reception is just a small affair for 200 - mostly family members from our two big Catholic families.  Peter and Sydney are moving from Vermont to Wisconsin and stopping through Ohio on the way.  Daniel finishes his schooling in Oregon and heads to Loyola in Baltimore to complete a summer session and his Masters degree in education.  He will be here to pick up our car which we won’t be needing for a few months.
Then, one big Bon Voyage/retirement party on May 12 and we ride away from home on May 14 on the first day of a 3500 + mile adventure.  Here’s to life’s second half!  Follow us.  We are going to follow that river all the way to the icebergs in the sea.

  1. Thanks to Tom for his detailed day by day planning. I know we will always have a safe place to sleep and coffee shops and groceries along the way!
