We have decided to change our trip's endpoint to Brookings, Oregon. This way we can spend a day with our friend, Larry, in Bend and get a little rest before heading back to Portland. Larry is going to pick us up at the tiny Brookings airport and fly us back to Bend. Getting two bikes and three people plus our panniers into his little Cessna plane will be a challenge, but I am sure we can do it! I can't wait to fly over some of the terrain we just traversed by bicycle. What a cool birthday trip for the last day of my 54th year!
