Days 7 Coos Bay to Cape Blanco

Coos Bay to Cape Blanco might have been a bit too ambitious a ride.   We started the day by climbing through the Seven Devils area which took us away from the traffic on highway 101, but was  extremely hilly.  The loaded Surleys climbed slowly and flew down those hills. The route returned to the coast at Bullards Beach where we cooked some hot soup for lunch in a nice State Park.  We rode a total of 63.9 miles to arrive at Cape Blanco at about 5pm.  The final 5 miles out to the Cape was an uphill climb into a very gusty wind.  We made some supper and hiked to the shore to see the sunset behind the Cape Blanco lighthouse.
